Vem aí mais uma edição do Congresso Brasileiro de Cirurgia do Joelho. O CBCJ 2020 ocorrerá nos dias 9 a 12 de dezembro, no Pro Magno Centro de Eventos, em São Paulo.
Com o tema “Inovação gerando mais qualidade de vida”, nosso Congresso apresentará novidades em pesquisas, técnicas e materiais em cirurgia do joelho, com foco em infecção e dor.
O programa científico será bem abrangente e contemplará todos os temas da cirurgia do joelho, contribuindo assim para a atualização de todos congressistas.
Junte-se a nós neste momento de troca de experiências e aproveite também para desfrutar das principais atrações culturais, gastronômicas e turísticas da capital paulista.

Adiamento CBCJ 2020 para dezembro
Em vista do rápido agravamento do quadro de disseminação do COVID-19 em nosso país e, especialmente, na cidade de São Paulo, impõe-se o ADIAMENTO do 18º Congresso Brasileiro de Cirurgia do Joelho (CBCJ 2020) que seria realizado entre 18 e 21 de abril de 2020.
Frente aos novos pronunciamentos e determinações das autoridades diante da escalada verificada, deve-se priorizar a segurança não apenas de cada participante, palestrante, patrocinador e convidado, mas da comunidade em geral.
Assim, em um esforço conjunto, conseguimos alterar a data do Congresso para os dias 09 a 12 de dezembro de 2020, mantendo-o no mesmo local (Pro Magno).
Agradecemos a compreensão de todos quanto a este adiamento que, infelizmente, foi determinado por eventos imprevisíveis e fora do alcance da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia do Joelho, no âmbito desta crise mundial sem precedentes.
Seguimos contando com a participação de todos para que tenhamos um excelente evento em dezembro de 2020!

Christian Lattermann is Chief of Sports Medicine and holds the endowed Distinguished Chair for Orthopaedic Surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston MA.
He began his training at Hannover Medical School in Germany under the guidance of Philipp Lobenhoffer, MD and Harald Tscherne, MD. In 1997 he did a research and clinical fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, where he continued his career as resident in Orthopaedic Surgery.
He continued to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Cartilage Repair at Rush University.
Christian Lattermann started his independent career in 2006 at the University of Kentucky, has built a strong clinical research program and built aone of the largest Cartilage Repair Centers in the US. He was appointed Professor and Vice Chair for Orthopaedic Surgery and Research at the University of Kentucky in 2015.
He is an expert in cartilage repair and complex knee surgery, outcomes research and clinical trials. His recent appointment to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital allows him to continue his research work in the field of clinical trials in early OA and cartilage repair and will continue the tradition of the Boston Cartilage Repair Center.
Christian Lattermann has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, over 25 book chapters and his research has been funded by national and federal institutions such as the National Institute of Health, Arthritis Foundation of America, NFL charities, Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and the Physical Therapy Association of America (PTAA). Christian Lattermann is active in national organizations in the US, and Germany where he is the current chair of the Research committee of the German-speaking Arthroscopy Society (AGA).
He was program co-chair for the World Congress in Macau in 2018 and has been elected by the ICRS membership as the two time Treasurer of the Executive Board of the ICRS.

David DEJOUR Is head Director of Lyon-Ortho-Clinic since 1996.
He is known worldwide for his pioneering research on patellofemoral joint, knee ACL, and Patellofemoral joint in degenerative Knee.
He is currently the President of ESSKA (European Society of Sport traumatology, Knee Arthroscopy), he has been involved in the board of the Francophone Arthroscopy Society (SFA) and the French National society (SOFCOT).
His primary interest is knee sport’s traumatology and pain. He published the worldwide classification of Trochlear dysplasia and described several original surgical procedures for it. He published numerous scientific studies about ACL reconstruction, return to sport and muscle recovery after sport’s trauma.
His medical center is dedicated to professional and recreational sport player in soccer, rugby, basket, handball, running teams and fighting sports. Each years Lyon-Ortho-Clinic trained fellows, residents, and visitors under his supervision.
His secondary interest is the future of all these athletes with degenerative knees. He has done some research on osteotomies and partial or total knee arthroplasty to keep them on daily active and sport’s life.

Dr. Parvizi is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and has been at the Rothman Institute since 2003. He specializes in the management of young patients with hip disorders such as dysplasia and femoroacetabular impingement. He has performed over 1000 femoroacetabular osteoplasty procedures, 300 pelvic and femoral osteotomies, and over 5000 hip replacements in young adults and continues to lead the clinical research team at the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr. Parvizi is a native of Azerbaijan, Iran and lived there until the age of 16. He completed his medical school education in the United Kingdom. Following graduation from medical school he spent four years in surgical training that included cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Parvizi then traveled to the United States to spend two years at the Mayo Clinic to conduct research in identifying methods to regenerate cartilage and bone. After obtaining a Masters degree in molecular biology from the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Parvizi was offered a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic and traveled to Switzerland to do a fellowship in the management of hip disorders in young adults. He spent time with Professor Ganz at the Inselspital, Berne in 2002. After completion of his fellowship, he joined the Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.
His personal area of interest in research and clinical practice includes prevention and diagnosis of joint infection, joint preservation in adults, and prevention of thromboembolism following orthopedic procedures. He has published over 700 scientific articles and has written 18 text books in related subjects including books on THE HIP and on THE KNEE. He has received numerous awards from societies and has received funding for his research from the National Institute of Health, Department of Defense, Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation, Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, Arthritis Foundation and numerous other funding bodies.
Dr. Parvizi travels extensively across the globe to give lectures related to his area of expertise and has been given the honorary membership of numerous societies around the world. He has served as the president of Musculoskeletal Infection Society (2013), Eastern Orthopedic Association (2018) and holds position the board of numerous organizations and societies.

In 1986 Dr. Sacha Bittelman obtained his MD title at the University of Chile. Afterwards he obtained his Orthopeadic degree and Orthopaedic Biomechanic Degree in 1997 and 1999, repectively. Additionally, Dr. Bittelman participated in several Hip & Knee fellowships between 1994 and 1997.
Dr. Bittelman is a Chief of the Orthopaedic Department of Tabancura Clinic, and the chief of the hip and knee replacement team in IST hospital.
He is member of multiple Orthopedic associations and speaks regularly at congresses throughout Latin-America.
Scott C. Faucett, M.D., M.S. is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip preservation and complex knee injuries. At George Washington Hospital, Dr. Faucett serves as the Director of The Hip Prevention Center. He is also the team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and The George Washington University Colonials.
Dr. Faucett obtained his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School and later completed his residency at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He was then selected for The Steadman Clinic’s prestigious fellowship in Vail, CO. During his fellowship, Dr. Faucett trained in hip arthroscopy and complex knee repairs. He has specialized training in arthroscopic and open hip preservation surgery for hip impingement, labrum tears, complex knee repairs and much more.
Dr. Faucett is involved in several professional organizations and is regularly invited to speak at international meetings.
Steven Claes, MD, PhD (38) is an orthopedic surgeon working in AZ Herentals Hospital in Belgium, with a specific expertise in knee instabilities and sports injuries.
To date, he has performed extensive research on cruciate ligament injuries and knee osteotomy.
In 2013, he obtained a Doctoral Degree in Biomedical Sciences at KULeuven University for innovative research on the knee’s Anterolateral Ligament (ALL).
His research was awarded with the biennial John Joyce award at the ISAKOS congress in Toronto, Canada in 2013.
